FAQ

Questions readers ask before converting ebooks.

A practical guide to supported formats, privacy, output quality and common conversion failures. Every answer links back to the converter converter when there is a useful next step.

Is converterepub free to use?

Yes. You can start an ebook conversion without creating an account or entering a credit card. Some large or complex files may require server processing with enough resources.

Which ebook and document formats are supported?

converterepub supports EPUB, PDF, DOCX, ODT, RTF, TXT, HTML, MOBI, AZW, AZW3, AZW4, PRC, CBZ, CBR, CBC, FB2, LIT, LRF, CHM, PDB, PML, RB, SNB, TCR and TXTZ files.

Are uploaded files private?

Simple conversions can run in your browser. More complex files are sent to the conversion server and removed after processing. Do not upload DRM-protected files, and avoid sharing sensitive documents with any online converter.

Does conversion preserve chapters and formatting?

The result depends on the source file quality. Text and HTML conversions keep readable structure, while advanced ebook conversions try to preserve chapters, metadata, cover images and layout when the source format supports them.

Can I use the converted EPUB on Kindle, Kobo or Apple Books?

Yes. EPUB output works with modern reading apps and libraries including Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books and Kindle apps that accept EPUB uploads.

Why does a conversion sometimes fail?

Common causes include DRM protection, corrupted source files, password-protected documents, unsupported embedded media or a temporary conversion service issue.
